Privacy policy

Purpose

JamPoint analyzes CHZZK and SOOP replay chat in your browser to help you find, watch and share moments with strong reactions. It provides reaction graphs, segment navigation, auto-play and timestamp copying.

Information processed

The extension checks the current supported replay URL and video ID and uses the video title, duration, broadcast start time, chat availability and chat retrieval URLs. It does not collect a general list of websites you visit.

Replay chat text, timestamps, message identifiers and status are used to aggregate reactions. CHZZK author hashes may be used temporarily to deduplicate messages; they are not used to profile authors or connect their activity elsewhere. SOOP account names, nicknames and profiles are not forwarded to the analyzer.

Selected display, language, reaction, analysis, navigation and shortcut settings, plus the last selected segment per video, are stored. Video IDs and minimal local usage state support segment restoration and review prompts. Passwords, payment details and location are not collected. Detailed click, keystroke and mouse-movement logs are not stored.

Local analysis and storage

Chat text and author identifiers are not persisted in local storage. In-memory deduplication data is cleared when analysis finishes; page memory is released when the page is closed or refreshed. Analysis caches contain only time-bucket aggregates such as chat counts, laughter/question reactions and laughter intensity.

Up to four analysis caches are retained. Only caches saved within 30 days are reused. Expiry does not trigger immediate deletion; when a new cache exceeds the count limit, the oldest entries are removed. Last selected segments are separated by platform/video, with up to 100 entries.

To avoid repeated review prompts, the extension stores use counts, distinct usage days, the last usage date, prompt counts, the next eligible prompt time, the do-not-ask preference, and same-day video IDs for deduplication. The same-day list is replaced on the next usage day. Detailed action histories are not stored, and actual ratings or review text are not queried.

Preferences, aggregates, last segments and review-prompt state are kept in chrome.storage.local. Only platform-level timing counters used to coordinate request-limit waits across tabs are kept in chrome.storage.session. These counters contain no video URL, video ID or chat, and last only for the browser session.

Platform requests and playback connection

Video identifiers and retrieval positions are sent over HTTPS to api.chzzk.naver.com, api.m.sooplive.com and videoimg.sooplive.com to retrieve metadata and replay chat. Your browser may automatically include existing platform authentication cookies. The extension does not directly read or store cookie values or bypass login or video access restrictions.

The SOOP playback connection handles the current video’s playback time, duration, playing/paused, seeking and ad state, plus necessary playback controls. Chat timestamps from individual SOOP video parts are converted to the full replay timeline. Account details and authentication information are not read.

Chat text, author identifiers, aggregates, preferences and usage state are not sent to a developer server. The extension has no advertising trackers or remote usage analytics.

Clipboard and exported files

Clicking a copy button writes a timestamp or full timeline to your clipboard. Existing clipboard contents are not read, and comments are not posted automatically. Choosing CSV export downloads aggregate results without message text or author identifiers.

Links and the introduction website

Donation, review, contact and portfolio links open the relevant service or app when selected. The extension does not handle donation payment information. External services handle information according to their own policies.

The introduction website does not receive the extension’s chat, aggregates or preferences. Its hosting provider may process basic access logs, such as IP addresses, access times and requested URLs, for operations and security. Selecting the introduction video loads a YouTube player and may transmit connection information to YouTube. The player is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com.

Retention and deletion

Preferences and local usage state remain until changed or extension data is deleted. Removing the extension in Chrome deletes its local extension storage. Copied clipboard text and downloaded CSV files must be deleted separately.

Data use commitments

Information is processed only for the stated replay analysis, navigation and export features, last-segment restoration and non-repetitive review prompts. User data is not sold or used/transferred for unrelated purposes, personalized advertising, creditworthiness or lending. JamPoint complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
